I don’t know if the bookies have been watching lately because the Twins look a very big price to win this. The Twins may have had a horror start to the season and they may trail the Indians by 7.5 games in the American Central but they are running very hot in the month of June. Since losing the first game of the month Minnesota have since gone 15-3 in the merry month of June. They were on a streak of 8 straight wins but that came to end last night when the Giants squared the series with a 5-1 win. The Twins had taken the first game with a convincing 9-2 win. The reason why the Giants are such strong fav’s is the prescence of two time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum on the mound. But ‘The Freak’ has not been anywhere near his best of late and has not won in his last 4 starts. He is 0-2 with an ERA of 7.59 in the month of June – the same month Minnesota are finding themselves so hot in. Lincecum will come good again soon but is he really a 1.59 shot against a very hot ball club?? They may win but the price is wrong in my opinion and whether the Twins win or not they have got to be worth a bet against a San Fran team which has struggled at the best of times to put runs on the board.
