Our outright tips Argentina and Colombia are still looking good and Falcao is at the top of the goal scoring charts.
And now on to the Copa America 2011 Quater Finals
Colombia v Peru 16th July 19.00 GMT
We think Colombia have looked very impressive so far and topped Argentinas Group A. Plus with Falcao upfront they will always be dangerous going forwards.
Peru on the other hand sneaked through as one of the two best third place finishers and with there only win coming against the poor Mexican outfit. They did sneak a draw against Uruguay in the opening match but this was as much to do with Uruguays defensive deficiencies rather than Perus strength.
We think that this is the end of Perus journey and Colombia will progress to a likely rematch with Argentina in the Semis.
Back Colombia at a best priced 4/5 with Victor Chandler or Betfair We also fancy Colombia to win by 2 goals at 4/1 with Paddy Power and William Hill
Argentina v Uruguay 16th July 22.15 GMT
Argentina have made slow work getting into Copa America 2011 and Systemlays followers were able to capitalize on this predicted slow start. But they did show some very strong signs of a return to form in their final match against Costa Rica. Although Costa Rica were not the strongest opponents, what gives us confidence was the change in formation and the team looked more happy and comfortable. As has happened in many tournaments this could be the moment it all clicks for Argentina and they now go storming through to the final.
Uruguay have not shown the same dynamism that they showed at last years world cup. And surprisingly for a Uruguayan team they have shown some weaknesses at the back but they are still unbeaten and we expect them to push Argentina all the way.
Back Argentina to win in extra time at 9/1 with Blue Sq
Brazil v Paraguay 17th July 19.00 GMT
Although Brazil managed to top the group, it was more through the failings of others rather than through there own excellence. At one point even through their last match, they were looking at going through as the third best team. But they came back to secure their first win of the Copa America, at 4v2 win against Ecuador
Even more bizarrely, Brazil now take on Paraguay who they have already played and drawn 2v2 with in the Group stages. It actually took a last minute equalizer from Fred for Brazil to secure the draw and avoid the ignominy of defeat.
Despite all of that, we do expect Brazil to have learned from those mistakes and to progress here. At a best priced 4/6 (Betfred) we think they are about rightly priced. However, we prefer Brazil in the ht/ft markets at 6/4
Brazil ht/ft at 6/4 with Bet365 and Boyles Sports
Chile v Venezuela 17th July 22.15 GMT
The final match of the Copa America 2011 quarter finals see the impressive Chile take on the surprising, but no less impressive, Venezuela.
Venezuela were once the whipping boys of South America but have shown steady improvement in recent years and have shown themselves to be a bright and motivated side so far in this years Copa America. They already secured a draw against Brazil and beaten Ecuador while showing there metal to come back from 2 goals down to draw 3v3 with Paraguay, despite qualification already being secured.
Chile on the other hand have probably been the most impressive side in this years Copa America (Closely run by Colombia) with two wins and a draw in their 3 matches.
We expect Chile to progress here but expect Venezuela to make it difficult for them and we feel the value lies in backing Chile in the method of victory markets. Bet365 have the best prices available and recommend a 1 point stake on both Extra Time (9/1) and Penalties (12/1) as the method in which Chile will progress.
